Cabernet Sauvignon

Description

I lived and worked in Bordeaux for a number of years and developed a love for Cabernet Sauvignon and their blends. With the cooler climate aspect and rich soils that the Hilltops has to offer, I find it one of the great places to grow the variety- and 2019 is one of those perfect years. The intense colour of the wine extends to the nose which has rich aromas of bayleaf, leather and cigar box. The palate is well balanced beginning with black currant and light pepper, slowly building to a crescendo of tannin, cocoa and tobacco leaf deep at the back of the palate.
